Which do i do?

i was playing against my friend with my oppoiston/merfolk deck against his dark fires deck and he had a blasterdom inplay and i was at 20 life and it was my turn, i could choose between saving my lands for a counter spell and take 5 damage or summon a darting merfolk which i could return to my hand and block the damage.
which would you do?

i had two counter spells and an oppositon in play, i had two islands and no creatures

אני חושב שעדיף לזמן יצור בגלל שאתה תמיד יכול לסובב לו את מה שהוא מוריד או אפילו אדמות כדי שלא יוכל לעשות קסמים
