you can put up to 4 copies of the same card exept basic lands, you can put those as much as you want

yes there is a list of bannd and restricted
you can put 4 cards unless its a basic land(foret , swamp and so on)

it depends in wich format you play
home rules: any card any number (acording to the aggrement with other players)
all non standard expencions like unglued, starter, portal is not legal in any DCI suncued turnament.
type 1:any card 4 copys except band and restricted cards.
extended: from 5th edition to now + duelands, again exept band and restricted cards.
type 2:only one last standard and 2 last bloks (like ursas block or tempest block)
and 4 copys of each card, noe restricted or band cards in here.

You can also play friendly in which case you and your friend make the rules, in which case you can put any amount of cards and/or restiricted cards and/or band cards, but only if your openent agrees
